In response to a mandate from the state, ODDS was tasked with developing a job board that could connect job seekers with jobs in the intellectual and developmental disabilities field.
Jobs in the field include positions that provide direct care and/or services to people who have an intellectual and/or developmental disability, as well as administrative or management positions.
Parallel built impactoregon.careers using React, Gatsby, and Drupal.
We emphasized simplicity and speed in our application, meticulously designing components and a user interface that met the requirements of this hyper-focused job market.
In a recent national conference, impactoregon.careers was highlighted as one of the most innovative projects launched in 2021 to support the DDS community.
Parallel continues to partner with ODDS providing hosting and technical support for the application. Together we are improving the application as it scales, supporting the increasing number of applicants and job providers.
