Our Process

Parallel couples a strong, user-centered design process witha responsive Agile/Scrum development methodology. This provides us with analytical data upon which we make design and development decisions. It allows us the flexibility to adapt as your project evolves, and we learn more about the project’s functional needs.
01
Discovery and Assessment
Before taking on any size project, we take the time to understand our customers, their online strategy, and goals for the project.
02
Design
During design, we pay careful attention to our customer's needs and goals through the development of user personas and user stories. Then we create interactive wireframes and prototypes to help guide the Information Architecture and User Experience design.
03
Specify
Before any code is commited, Parallel creates a user-centered requirements specification that fully defines feature sets and functionality. These specifications are written in plain language and utilize the Agile/Scrum persona and user story framework.
04
Develop
Based on approved specifications, we build our customer's application using an Agile/Scrum development methodology that is flexible and responsive to any challenges that are discovered during the build process.
05
Evaluate
Parallel thoroughly tests our applications for compatibility and accessibility, and to make sure that all features outlined in the specifications have been delivered and are meeting out customer's expectations. We also conduct usability testing to assess the clarity, functionality, and usability of the web application. The results of this testing are used to adjust the live application, refine content decisions, and to provide guidance on subsequent phases of development.
06
Hosting & Support
We provide hosting and technical support for our customers once their project is live including applying all required security updates and being available for help via our support portal.
